Accounts Payable Manager

The Role

  • This position will involve managing accounts payable department and to ensure that the department runs smoothly.

  • You should be knowledgeable, analytical, and decisive with excellent leadership along with interpersonal and communication skills.

Who you are

  • Education: B.com/BAF 

  • Approximately 2-3 year's experience in a leadership role within a client services environment.

  • Solid communication skills- fluency in written and spoken English is a “MUST”.

What you'll do

  • Manage the accounts payable team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure efficient and accurate processing of payments.

  • Review and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment in accordance with payment terms.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals for payments and resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices.

  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating payment terms, resolving disputes, and addressing inquiries related to invoices or payments.

  • Oversee the payment process, scheduling payments via check, electronic transfer, or other methods, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or errors in the accounts payable process.

  • Generate reports related to accounts payable activities, such as ageing reports, cash flow projections, and analysis of payment trends, providing insights to management for decision-making purposes.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the accounts payable process, implementing process improvements and automation tools as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards governing accounts payable activities, staying informed about changes and implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

  • Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are properly recorded, accruals are accounted for, and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
